Can I fuse glass in a ceramic kiln?

Sometimes — but side-element ceramic kilns heat glass unevenly. If you want one kiln for both, look at our dual media kilns, which have separate ceramic and glass firing modes.

What temperature does glass fusing require?

Full fusing typically happens around 1450–1500°F, tack fusing slightly lower, and slumping lower still — well within the range of every kiln in this collection.
