Warranty

Speedball warranty highlights

Pottery wheels: 5 years on the Artista, 10 years on the Clay Boss, Big Boss and Boss Elite, parts and labor at the Speedball factory.
Register the wheel within 30 days of purchase or the warranty is not in effect.
Call Speedball for a return authorization number, then ship the complete system (control box, motor, foot pedal, cords uncut) prepaid in its original packaging. Speedball pays ground shipping back.
Full wheel replacement is only considered for claims made within 30 days of purchase.
Not covered: accidents, drops, mishandling, unauthorized repair, and use contrary to the directions.
Glazes and underglazes carry no warranty. Defective product is replaced under the 30-day returns policy.

Extended warranty (Clyde)

Optional extended protection from Clyde can be added to eligible products at checkout, on top of the manufacturer's warranty.
Clyde plans cover the core product only. Add-on options such as controllers, furniture kits, stands, blade fixtures and vents are not included.
Claims under a Clyde plan are filed with Clyde, not with the manufacturer. Keep your Clyde confirmation email with your order confirmation.

In every case

Keep your order confirmation. It is your proof of purchase date and every manufacturer asks for it.
Report a problem as soon as you notice it. Several manufacturers require notice within 10 to 15 days of discovering a defect.

Just what I needed!

I was using a generic wheel, took a class and knew that I needed to upgrade. I also knew that a tabletop wheel would be the best for me. I settled on the Speedball Artista tabletop wheel, and I love it. I purchased a computer table that will let me adjust the height that I feel comfortable at. This wheel is smooth, quiet and has great speed. I throw small to med. pieces. I use the hand control for speed, foot pedal can be purchased separately. Great upgrade for me, and it is portable! Amazing little wheel

I've been looking at getting this wheel for a long time. I started with the skutt 1/2hp and it's so heavy and not portable I wanted a fun wheel I could take places and teach my friends pottery or do art shows with. This wheel is strong and amazing quality for the price. And if you really wanted to you could add legs and make it a full wheel but it's comfortable just sitting on the floor to throw on it. I love this wheel and I am so glad I went through soul ceramics to get it, the customer service is great and they have the best prices for speedball wheels.

great wheel for hobbyist

I like that this is a tabletop wheel as i’d rather throw standing up than seated. The wheel was shipped very securely. I can kind of feel the wheel slowing down a little when I’m centering, so i adjust the speed and it’s fine.

the wheel feels very well made and sturdy. i dont even plan to throw more than 5# at once on this wheel, so it suits my needs very well.

i wish the splash pan had some more clearance between it and the wheelhead, but otherwise it’s great, im happy with my purchase

I splurged and ordered a left handed portable wheel (Speedball Artista) and am really enjoying the added control as I am left handed, but have been throwing as a righty. As others have said, the staff at Soul Ceramics is wonderful! They check in with the customer at every opportunity, to make sure the customer is satisfied. They also had the best price on the wheel! I love myy new kiln. I've fired it several times now and i am pleased with the performance.

Ordering from Soul Ceramics was Amazing but Shipping Company not so Great

I ordered my HotShot 16G kiln from Soul Ceramics. It took about 3 weeks from order date. Communication with Soul Ceramics is Great. The only complaint I can make is about the Company they Ship with. I received an email stating it would arrive within a 3 day window period (Sat, Sun or Monday), but it did not arrive then. I took off work to be available for delivery. I had to take a second day off of work to be there for actual delivery day. I called the delivery company and was On Hold for Over an Hour and decided to use the "leave number" prompt, which I left my phone number. Someone from that company did finally call me back to tell me they do not deliver on Mondays....Monday happened to be the last day of my time period window. I don't understand why they gave me that date if they don't delivery on Mondays. It did finally arrive on Tuesday and everything was fine.

I am absolutely loving my new Jen-Ken tabletop ceramic kiln! I received it about 17 days ago and have fired it four times now. I bought it to make small sculptures and jewelry. It’s small but mighty and with the upgraded relays and the TAP II controller, it’s a whole new world for me. This little kiln is my new best friend.

Excellent service

I had a great experience with Soul Ceramics. There were other companies that were more well known but I found the kiln I wanted and it was priced as good if not a little better than the other companies. I purchased the Evenheat HF 1818 kiln from Soul Ceramics. The product came via freight and it was packaged and shipped very well. The unboxing was easy, with minimal installation required. In addition, I purchased the furniture kit, and the downdraft vent. I also upgraded the controller to the Genesis 2 Icon+, with solid state relays, which I’m very happy I did.

I’ve done a series of bisque and glaze firings, and I’m very happy with the results. The kiln has 3 inch fire bricks and is very well insulated, and as easy to program. I highly recommend this kiln.

I also recommend Soul Ceramics as a retailer. They were very helpful in my selection of the kiln, and made some good recommendations. Their prices were the best I could find, and their feedback and communication was great during the ordering and waiting process.
