This is an exceptionally handy, rugged, hand held clay extruder for making small runs of a particular form. The Super Duper Clay Gun features a 10″ barrel with threaded cap and can accommodate up to 4lbs of clay at a time. When paired with the die kit of your choice you can mass produce shapes, coils and handles with ease. All 2″ Clay Gun dies will work with this hand held extruder, a hollow die set is also available for this model. Scott Creek Pottery created the original studio extruder, accept no substitute.

Included in the box is a 1/2″ aluminum coil die and two blank aluminum dies for you to customize to your needs.

    Warranty

    Scott Creek Pottery warranty highlights

    • Scott Creek handles faulty equipment directly rather than through a published warranty document. Contact Soul Ceramics or Scott Creek and we will coordinate.
    • Unused items may be returned within 30 days; a restocking fee may apply and the buyer pays return shipping.
    • Used equipment is not returnable unless it is faulty.
    • Replacement parts for every extruder component are available directly from Scott Creek.
    • No registration required.

    Extended warranty (Clyde)

    • Optional extended protection from Clyde can be added to eligible products at checkout, on top of the manufacturer's warranty.
    • Clyde plans cover the core product only. Add-on options such as controllers, furniture kits, stands, blade fixtures and vents are not included.
    • Claims under a Clyde plan are filed with Clyde, not with the manufacturer. Keep your Clyde confirmation email with your order confirmation.

    In every case

    • Keep your order confirmation. It is your proof of purchase date and every manufacturer asks for it.
    • Report a problem as soon as you notice it. Several manufacturers require notice within 10 to 15 days of discovering a defect.
    • Contact Soul Ceramics first. We are the authorized dealer for everything we sell and we coordinate claims with the manufacturer on your behalf.
    • Do not discard any failed parts until the claim is resolved. Manufacturers may ask for them back for inspection.

    First, Soul Ceramics gives the most detailed customer service of any business I've encountered. I highly recommend using them if they have the product you're after. I tried them because shipping was free on my item and it arrived quickly.
    As for the clay extruder... it is easy to use and seems sturdy. It does require some strength to squeeze the handle. It makes nice clean coils. The die it comes with produces coils that are a little large for me, so I ordered some other variations. Cleaning the extruder is not difficult, but does take some effort. Overall, I'd recommend it if you have trouble rolling uniform coils.
