Warranty

Jen-Ken warranty highlights

Brick kilns: 2 years. Fiber kilns (Chili Pepper, Bonnie Glo, ProFusion): 1 year on the kiln, 2 years on the controller.
Elements, thermocouples and relays are covered for 2 years, but not against glaze damage, overfiring or thermocouple breakage.
Controllers are warranted by their makers: Orton AutoFire 2 years, SDS TAP 3 years.
Report problems within 15 days, keep your dated receipt and serial number, and do not discard any parts.
Parts warranty: Jen-Ken ships replacement parts free within the lower 48 states and supports installation by phone or video. On-site labor is not covered.
Not covered: overfiring, reducing or salt atmospheres, cracked bricks or lids, improper electrical installation, and altered kilns.

Extended warranty (Clyde)

Optional extended protection from Clyde can be added to eligible products at checkout, on top of the manufacturer's warranty.
Clyde plans cover the core product only. Add-on options such as controllers, furniture kits, stands, blade fixtures and vents are not included.
Claims under a Clyde plan are filed with Clyde, not with the manufacturer. Keep your Clyde confirmation email with your order confirmation.

In every case

Keep your order confirmation. It is your proof of purchase date and every manufacturer asks for it.
Report a problem as soon as you notice it. Several manufacturers require notice within 10 to 15 days of discovering a defect.
Contact Soul Ceramics first. We are the authorized dealer for everything we sell and we coordinate claims with the manufacturer on your behalf.
Do not discard any failed parts until the claim is resolved. Manufacturers may ask for them back for inspection.

Endless possibilities with this kiln!

I am absolutely loving my new Jen-Ken tabletop ceramic kiln! I received it about 17 days ago and have fired it four times now. I bought it to make small sculptures and jewelry. It’s small but mighty and with the upgraded relays and the TAP II controller, it’s a whole new world for me. This little kiln is my new best friend.

The perfect Apartment sized kiln!

I received my kiln five days ago and have already fired it four times. I've been playing around with some of the, easily modified, firing parameters while firing test pieces. Turns out the default STD program works the best for my needs.

All I need the kiln for is to fire a large assortment of bisque chess sets. I've got 80 different Mayco glazes to experiment with and now I can do that at my leisure! The kiln makes testing glaze combinations simple and accurate. Being able to re-fire pieces, at will, is nice for obtaining the quality I'm aiming for too.

There was one small, minor imperfection with the kiln itself. This defect is shown in the picture below. It looks to me like somebody at the factory noticed it and then said screw it, ship it anyway. As the kiln arrived two weeks earlier than I expected, I'm not going to whine about a small dent in some non critical part.

All in all, if you want a small EZ to use kiln for firing bisque pieces, then this is the kiln for you! It is easily moved when not in use. It fits into a corner, with ample space on all sides, during firing. The apartment has a dedicated 20A line for the washing machine so that's the plug I use. The only thing is I can't use my washer and kiln at the same time. OK, not a big deal.

Amazing Kiln

We hadn’t had time to fire our kiln until recently and our pieces came out so beautiful! The kiln is very easy to use and I love how it doesnt take up too much space. It was a father’s day gift for my husband and he loved it very much! Thank you to the amazing customer service for all of their help in purchasing a kiln and getting it shipped out fast!

The kiln came very quickly and in great condition. The three button panel is very easy to work with and the booklet is so detailed it wasn’t difficult to follow. Jen Ken 11/9 Kiln

Kiln arrived promptly unpacked and all is good. After throughly re reading all the information, I fired my very first bisque items. As a complete beginner to kiln use, I I have found this little kiln to be perfect. Im not sure upgrading the control panel was a good idea, as I will only be using this for basic ceramic creations, but I suppose that I have the option in the future to advance a little. Im so happy with my Kiln. Thank you Soul Ceramics!

Great little kiln!

I upgraded to the 12 key controller and it is worth the upgrade! The manual is helpful, i also went on Youtube to learn how to use this type of controller. It is worth giving the company a call for advice on firing for the first time, they were helpful and fantastic!

Small but mighty! (and perfect for bisque firing)

I absolutely love my little Jen-Ken kiln. Ever since she arrived I've done plenty of bisque firings at home which has eliminated my stress of having to transport fragile greenware to my local community studio. I've broken plenty of attachments while doing so, so it's wonderful having this kiln at home! She lives in our upstairs guest bathroom and it's so easy to put her away in the closet whenever we do have guests over. I've had zero issues firing my pieces which is great!
Though I didn't purchase the in stock version, the lead time was accurate and I received my kiln accordingly! Thank you so much Soul Ceramics for my very first kiln!

I love myy new kiln. I've fired it several times now and i am pleased with the performance.

Ordering from Soul Ceramics was Amazing but Shipping Company not so Great

I ordered my HotShot 16G kiln from Soul Ceramics. It took about 3 weeks from order date. Communication with Soul Ceramics is Great. The only complaint I can make is about the Company they Ship with. I received an email stating it would arrive within a 3 day window period (Sat, Sun or Monday), but it did not arrive then. I took off work to be available for delivery. I had to take a second day off of work to be there for actual delivery day. I called the delivery company and was On Hold for Over an Hour and decided to use the "leave number" prompt, which I left my phone number. Someone from that company did finally call me back to tell me they do not deliver on Mondays....Monday happened to be the last day of my time period window. I don't understand why they gave me that date if they don't delivery on Mondays. It did finally arrive on Tuesday and everything was fine.

Excellent service

I had a great experience with Soul Ceramics. There were other companies that were more well known but I found the kiln I wanted and it was priced as good if not a little better than the other companies. Staff was very helpful and answered all my questions and if they weren't sure they would check and get back with me. Would buy from them again.

Just what I needed!

I was using a generic wheel, took a class and knew that I needed to upgrade. I also knew that a tabletop wheel would be the best for me. I settled on the Speedball Artista tabletop wheel, and I love it. I purchased a computer table that will let me adjust the height that I feel comfortable at. This wheel is smooth, quiet and has great speed. I throw small to med. pieces. I use the hand control for speed, foot pedal can be purchased separately. Great upgrade for me, and it is portable! Great customer service with Soul Ceramics! Happy customer!!

Studio Pro 17 is great

I've been using my new Studio Pro 17 for 2 weeks and have to say I absolutely love it. There is a learning curve, but help is available when I need it.

Evenheat Knife Oven - KO 22.5

Evenheat HF 1818 Kiln - Outstanding midsize kiln

I purchased the Evenheat HF 1818 kiln from Soul Ceramics. The product came via freight and it was packaged and shipped very well. The unboxing was easy, with minimal installation required. In addition, I purchased the furniture kit, and the downdraft vent. I also upgraded the controller to the Genesis 2 Icon+, with solid state relays, which I’m very happy I did.

I’ve done a series of bisque and glaze firings, and I’m very happy with the results. The kiln has 3 inch fire bricks and is very well insulated, and as easy to program. I highly recommend this kiln.

I also recommend Soul Ceramics as a retailer. They were very helpful in my selection of the kiln, and made some good recommendations. Their prices were the best I could find, and their feedback and communication was great during the ordering and waiting process.

Ordered and received within about 4 weeks. They sent an update email just about every week. Very prompt response. I would definitely buy from soul ceramics again.
