Side-Only Element Design

The LB Series design was inspired, in part, by culinary bladesmiths who generally make long, thin blades blades. These bladesmiths needed to use the entire length of the chamber without overheating their blades at the back wall. Evenheat took a fresh look, got rid of the rear wall heating element, and nailed it.

The front to back temperature distribution in the LB is incredibly even. Positioning in the chamber has no effect and the entire length can be used.

Side Opening Door

Heat treating requires the removing of some very hot material from the chamber in order to quench. Everything in the chamber is hot, which includes the door. The doors on the LB's swing out and to the side, a full 180° if you need it. This puts the super-heated door well away from you as you concentrate on the work at hand.

Cool Touch Handle

    Warranty

    Evenheat warranty highlights

    • Two years from the date of purchase on the kiln, covering defects in workmanship and materials.
    • Lid exceptions: one year on Evolution Series fiber lids (ceramic kilns) and on Superwool lids (glass kilns). Heat treat ovens have no lid exception.
    • Report a defect to Soul Ceramics within 10 days of discovering it and keep your proof of purchase.
    • Evenheat repairs or replaces the defective part. Replacement parts ship prepaid from Evenheat; you pay shipping to the factory if a part or kiln has to go back.
    • Not covered: overfiring, incorrect voltage or electrical installation, freight damage, kiln furniture and ware, reduction or salt firing, and kilns altered in any way.
    • Labor is not addressed in the warranty. Expect a parts warranty with phone support for installation.

    Extended warranty (Clyde)

    • Optional extended protection from Clyde can be added to eligible products at checkout, on top of the manufacturer's warranty.
    • Clyde plans cover the core product only. Add-on options such as controllers, furniture kits, stands, blade fixtures and vents are not included.
    • Claims under a Clyde plan are filed with Clyde, not with the manufacturer. Keep your Clyde confirmation email with your order confirmation.

    In every case

    • Keep your order confirmation. It is your proof of purchase date and every manufacturer asks for it.
    • Report a problem as soon as you notice it. Several manufacturers require notice within 10 to 15 days of discovering a defect.
    • Contact Soul Ceramics first. We are the authorized dealer for everything we sell and we coordinate claims with the manufacturer on your behalf.
    • Do not discard any failed parts until the claim is resolved. Manufacturers may ask for them back for inspection.

    Great communication and premium quality product

    Soul Ceramics did a great job communicating through the entire process, and I ended up choosing an option that had to be built to order, so it took about 5 weeks to receive. I got regular weekly updates as well as prompt answers to all my questions. The LB27 EvenHeat Kiln I got with the TAP Controller is a top quality product and bigger than I will likely need, but I didn’t want to limit myself in the future so I’m happy with the extra length. I was a bit worried about learning how to program the oven, but it was incredibly easy to use! Overall I’m immensely happy with my purchase and will highly recommend Soul Ceramics and EvenHeat to anyone interested.

    Excellent service great product

    Great Product!

    I have nothing but good things to say about my new Evenheat LB18! I finally got my electrical wiring done and was able to get the LB18 up and running. Ran it through its paces and everything works like a charm. Highly recommend the TAP controller and door interrupt switch.

    Have used this unit 7 times to date. I think it’s a great product, well designed and well built. I like everything about it but the key pad on the controller. The keys are very small and tedious to use. Not a big deal.

The package was delivered and was damaged in transit (not their fault) and they worked hard to get a replacement in a short period of time.
