The  KMG-TX – Tilting Extreme is the Knife Making Grinder you’ve been dreaming of! With the same robust construction of the original KMG, the completely re-engineered KMG-TX takes your grinding to the next level!

The 2×72 direct-drive grinder easily tilts from vertical position with a lever release and clicks securely into horizontal position and back again. The new KMG-TX features a ratcheting belt tension system, an all-new Axis Neutral Tracking system with a low wear steel tracking wheel, platen attachment wheels made of steel, smaller footprint. Works with ALL the classic KMG attachments including the Rotary Platen Attachment and Small Wheel Attachment.

Runs on 115V or 230V AC — comes finished and pre-wired, nearly ready to plug in and GRIND! (you will need to connect the pre-wired motor cord to the VFD)

* 2HP motor will operate at a maximum of 1.5HP if on 115V; In order for the 2.0HP unit to operate at its full capabilities it will need to run at 230V with the appropriate cord.

* This unit comes shipped with a NEMA 5-15 power cable supporting 115V. In order to operate at 230V, please select to purchase the 230V cord in addition.

* The Variable Speed Controller will need to be adjusted to select 115V or 230V.

Articulating Work Rest

The KMG Articulating Work Rest System contains the following parts:

  • Work Rest Table
  • Tooling arm (For KMG-TX)
  • 1  (one) 90-degree angle knuckle
  • 2 (two) links with levers
  • 3 (three) 1″ diameter pins

These eight components will allow you to create hundreds of combinations for every work support situation.

    Warranty

    Beaumont Metal Works warranty highlights

    • Five-year limited warranty on the grinder chassis (frame, arms, plates, brackets, knobs): 60 months from installation, capped at 62 months from purchase.
    • Motors and VFDs are warranted by their own makers, not by Beaumont: Leeson 12 months, Techtop 18 to 36 months, KB/Nidec VFDs 5 years.
    • Wear items, springs, rubber and polyurethane, bearings, fasteners, belts and cosmetic issues are excluded.
    • Get written authorization from Beaumont, then ship freight prepaid to the Columbus factory. Beaumont repairs or replaces at its option.
    • You pay shipping both ways; removal and installation labor is not reimbursed.
    • Registration with Beaumont is required to validate the five-year warranty.

    Extended warranty (Clyde)

    • Optional extended protection from Clyde can be added to eligible products at checkout, on top of the manufacturer's warranty.
    • Clyde plans cover the core product only. Add-on options such as controllers, furniture kits, stands, blade fixtures and vents are not included.
    • Claims under a Clyde plan are filed with Clyde, not with the manufacturer. Keep your Clyde confirmation email with your order confirmation.

    In every case

    • Keep your order confirmation. It is your proof of purchase date and every manufacturer asks for it.
    • Report a problem as soon as you notice it. Several manufacturers require notice within 10 to 15 days of discovering a defect.
    • Contact Soul Ceramics first. We are the authorized dealer for everything we sell and we coordinate claims with the manufacturer on your behalf.
    • Do not discard any failed parts until the claim is resolved. Manufacturers may ask for them back for inspection.
